mb machining is the latest addition to the Primat Group of companies, an established manufacturing organisation since 1919.

W J Moseley founded Moseley Brothers in 1919 under the name of Midland Manufacturing. The company was incorporated as Moseley Bros (Tools) Ltd in 1931.

In 1995 Moseley Brothers became a wholly owned subsidiary of The Primat Group.

Since this event Moseley Brothers has undergone significant changes and has developed into a specialist manufacturer of press tools for the automotive industry.

The company has moved premises three times from its original location in Birmingham. The last move was in 1999, to the current location, a modern manufacturing unit on the Vaughan Trading Estate in the West Midlands.

With this, the Primat Group made its first addition to the group with mb production. With the expertise in press tools we now can offer a complete service of supplying finished components direct to our customers.

In 2002 the Primat Group added a manufacturing company in south Wales called Semtek Tools offering press tool manufacture and a production facility.

In 2006 the Primat Group invested in their own 5-axis laser cutting facility and gf laser was born into the group. Providing an advanced metal cutting service to all industries from the same location site on the Vaughan Trading Estate.

In 2007 mb machining was formed, purely as a sub-contract machining facility. As part of an overall expansion plan it entered the Aerospace market obtaining the Aerospace accreditation AS9100.
