As part of ongoing investment and expansion, mb machining has invested in the latest 3D scanning facility with the Faro Laser Arm. This facility is available as a standalone service or as part of an overall engineering project.

The Faro Laser Scanning Arm offers a wide range of services:

Reverse Engineering
To create accurate digital models of existing components, re-design and re-engineered parts that can be related to the original CAD for comparison purposes.

Quality Inspection
Components can be scanned to produce accurate models which then can be compared with the original CAD to ensure products meet intended design and performance characteristics within the specified tolerances.

Rapid Prototyping
Scanned parts enable mass customisation for rapid prototyping and able to manufacture unique individualized products at a competitive advantage to large production costs.

Digital Archiving
Record physical characteristics of components or objects for purpose when CAD files do not exist and there is no accurate 3D representation to be archived.
